So - me and the wife, and a handful of friends, went to see Queens Of The Stone Age play at The Tabernacle here in Atlanta on Saturday night. It was totally every bit as good as I expected it to be. One of the great things about this band is that you never have any idea what they're going to play. I mean, this tour has been consistent in the fact that they generally play a nice helping of new songs alongside a rotating selection of more well know tunes, and deeper songs from their first 2 records. However, tney still leave you guessing after every song. This band seems to get better and better, year after year. They are my favortie rock band of the moment - like they used to say about The Clash back in the day - QOTSA are to me : "the only band that matters."
