This last Saturday Nerd Parade made it's first ever perfromance at The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta. It's a room we've wanted to rock for some time now, and it was worth the wait. Within 24 hours of tornadoes rocking downtown ATL - a nice sized gathering of music lovers came out and enjoyed strong sets by every band that was there. Swank Sinatra played an exceptionally tight and enjoyable set - after which time NP took the stage and delivered one of our most high-energy performances to date. The show featured a lot of the material from our upcoming studio LP, some cool renditions of songs from "A Delicate Bashing" that have not been getting enough play time lately and were great to play again (resolution day, ect..), and an awesome guitar and bass solo trade-off between Randy and I during "Spies" to close out the night. I do believe the band sounds better right now, with this line-up, and the momentum we're building now - than we ever have. And most importantly - its a group that is a pleasure to work, perform, and hang out with. A big shout out to some of the folks that came out - NP veteran Johnny Blaze, members of Cinetrope (catch us with them @ the 5 spot on Thursday - more on that tomorrow), and as always - the boys from Swank for hanging around and partying after the show. We are developing our own really awesome scene with some great bands that are great friends around here. Anyhow - like I said before - more on the next gig tomorrow. Yall take care now.
